EuroClio is a European network that supports history and citizenship education by empowering educators and connecting professionals across countries. Its goal is to foster critical thinking, multiperspectivity, and democratic values through innovative teaching and learning practices.

The Civics Innovation Hub

Civic Education Active Citizenship Democratic Innovation

The Civics is an initiative that strengthens civic education and democratic engagement across Europe. It organizes events, trainings, and workshops—most notably through the NECE (Networking European Citizenship Education) platform—and fosters exchange among educators and practitioners. The initiative also develops publications and research, including mapping projects that analyze and support civic education across Europe. The initiative primarily targets educators, learners, and civil society actors committed to active citizenship.

DARE Democracy and Human Rights Education in Europe

Human Rights Democratic Citizenship Civil Society

The DARE Network is a European initiative promoting democratic citizenship and human rights education. It connects NGOs, academics, and practitioners through networking, joint projects, trainings, and policy advocacy at European level. It primarily addresses educators, civil society organisations, researchers, and policymakers engaged in citizenship and human rights education.

Active Citizenship European Democracy Participation

Together.eu is an initiative by the European Parliament that brings people across Europe together to support and strengthen democracy. The platform connects citizens and organisations, offering opportunities to share ideas, learn new skills, and organise activities. It encourages active participation in democratic life, especially by promoting voting in European elections.


Overall, it provides resources, training, and a community to empower people to engage and take action for Europe’s future.

House of European History

European History/span> Critical Thinking Digital Learning

The House of European History provides a broad range of digital resources for teaching Europe’s history, including virtual tours, online exhibitions, videos, and multimedia content. All materials are available in the 24 official EU languages, supporting inclusive and accessible learning in diverse classrooms. Its “HistoriCall” digital toolbox offers structured learning modules, designed to foster critical thinking and engagement with key themes such as European integration and democracy. Overall, the platform serves as a multilingual hub for innovative history education.
