Our partner Zentrum polis, the Austrian Centre for Citizenship Education in Schools, had the pleasure to be invited to the 16th meeting of the Working Group on Equality and Values in Education and Training of the European Commission on 21 and 22 october 2025. Patricia Hladschik presented first results of the VAL-YOU project during a panel session about a possible future EU competence framework on citizenship education, including a European dimension. For our project it was very interesting to liaise with other projects working on European citizenship education like the fit4EU project focusing on teacher traing. We recommend to read the very insightful issue paper on citizenship education which is one of the key outputs of the European Commission’s working group on equality and values in education and training.
