⚖️ What does justice really mean?![]()
In the EU, justice is about fairness, the rule of law, and trust in institutions.
It protects freedom, prevents abuse of power, and gives us a way to resolve conflicts peacefully.![]()
But justice isn’t just a principle, it’s a value, shaped by experience.
People who feel protected and respected by institutions are more likely to believe in justice.![]()
📍 This map shows how much citizens in different European countries trust their justice system: a key indicator of whether justice is seen, not just said (source: www.atlasofeuropeanvalues.eu/).![]()
💬 In schools, this becomes a chance to discuss real issues:
🔹 What is fairness?
🔹 Who do you trust?
🔹 How do institutions earn (or lose) public confidence?
